Accessibility statement

Last reviewed 20 August 2026

IMM — Integrated Maternal Medicine is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement describes our conformance status, known limitations, and how to report barriers.

Report an accessibility barrier

1. Commitment

This website is for families, health professionals and the general public: clinical information, booking, the academy, eBooks and account management. These tasks should be completable with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification and other assistive technologies.

We do not use accessibility overlays or widgets. Accessibility is built into the code, contrast, structure and forms.

2. Conformance status

Status: Partially conformant

This website is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, and with the European standard EN 301 549, which is the technical reference for Decree-Law No. 82/2022 (the European Accessibility Act as transposed in Portugal).

“Partially conformant” means most of the site meets the criteria, with the known exceptions listed in section 5. We do not claim full conformance while those exceptions remain.

3. Legal framework

As a digital service offered to consumers — including e-commerce for courses and eBooks and appointment booking — the accessibility requirements of Decree-Law No. 82/2022 of 6 December and Ordinance No. 220/2023 of 20 July apply.

This page follows the Portuguese accessibility-statement model (the /acessibilidade URL, a footer link on every page, and a contact mechanism), in line with the practice of the Agency for Administrative Modernisation, even though Decree-Law No. 83/2018 primarily addresses the public sector.

4. What is already in place

Measures in force on public, sign-in and account pages:

  • Page language stays in sync with the PT/EN control (WCAG 3.1.1).
  • Main, header, navigation and footer landmarks, plus a skip-to-content link.
  • Menus and dialogs are keyboard-operable, with a focus trap, Escape and focus restore.
  • A visible focus indicator, and text and UI contrast at Level AA.
  • Forms with associated labels, required-field indication, an error summary and messages announced to assistive technologies.
  • Accessible authentication: passwords can be pasted and password managers work (WCAG 3.3.8).
  • Animations honour prefers-reduced-motion, and the continuous marquee can be paused.
  • Ongoing automated checks with axe-core (WCAG 2.2 AA) on public routes, in Portuguese and English, on desktop and mobile.

5. Content that is not yet accessible

These limitations are known. Until they are fixed, we offer alternatives:

  • Pre-recorded academy lesson videos may not yet have closed captions (WCAG 1.2.2). Where a lesson has notes, those notes serve as a transcript. If you need another alternative, use the contact form.
  • Payment is completed in Stripe Checkout, a third-party service. Accessibility of that step depends on Stripe’s interface.
  • Some downloadable files (PDFs and eBooks) may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us for an alternative through the same form.

6. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared by the team that maintains the site, based on:

  • Automated evaluation with axe-core, WCAG 2.2 Level AA, on public and authentication pages, in Portuguese and English.
  • Manual review against the 10 critical functional accessibility aspects published on acessibilidade.gov.pt (navigation, headings, forms, images, contrast, media players, structure and dialogs).
  • Keyboard testing of booking, contact, account and checkout flows.

7. Contact and information requests

If you find a barrier, if content is not accessible, or if you need an alternative (for example a transcript or a document in another format), write to us. Please include the page, what you were trying to do, and, if you can, the browser and assistive technology you use.

Report an accessibility barrier

We reply within 15 working days. If a fix is not immediate, we will give a timescale or provide an alternative.

8. Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the bodies that enforce accessibility in Portugal:

9. Date and review

This statement was published and reviewed on 20 August 2026. It is updated when the site changes in a material way or a known limitation is resolved, and at least once a year.
