My experience in Neonatology and Pediatrics led me to develop an approach centred not only on the child but also on their family, treating parent education and empowerment as a fundamental part of the intervention. I believe pediatric physiotherapy begins long before the intervention itself: it begins with listening, assessment, and guiding the family, so every child has the best opportunities to grow and develop.

Online consultations for children and adolescents

At IMM, paediatric and child-and-adolescent care is centred on the child and the family. Consultations may include the participation of parents or caregivers, individual time with the child or adolescent, or both, depending on age and the needs of the follow-up.

Appointments are made on request and are subject to the professional’s assessment of whether the online format is appropriate. Participation conditions, privacy and safety are considered, as well as whether the necessary assessment can be carried out remotely.

The family and the professional are free to decide whether to proceed with this format. If the online consultation is not appropriate, or ceases to be during follow-up, an in-person alternative or an appropriate referral will be proposed.
